These skills can be applied to starting a business in all sectors.

Course content

Comparing business structures.
Marketing and research.
Legal and financial considerations.
Pricing, invoicing and cash flow forecasting.
Developing a business plan.

Progression next steps

On successful completion of the course, you will have the skills needed to start thinking about or opening your own business venture.

Assessment details

Assessment by completion of written work and practical tasks throughout the course.

Eligibility requirements

To attend this course, you must be 19 years or over, legally allowed to live and work in the UK and have lived in the UK or EU for the last three years. You must also pass a short assessment in English and Maths.
